ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL REMOTE PELOTON BIKE FIT

Another day, another Peloton customer that can’t pedal the Peloton anymore. Knee pain (knee pressure), overall discomfort, hips aching, feeling that something is not quite right, can’t ‘get on top of the gear’, typical things I hear all the time from Peloton customers. After 90 Peloton knee pain mitigation fits, I’ve been able to help every one.

We had several issues to solve. After initial fit, saddle slowly slid rearward in which I was able to analyze the video file and asked him to check the saddle fore/aft location again. Initially he was way too low in the saddle so we fixed that as well. Lastly, his knees going way out at the top of the pedal stroke which we can attribute to very tight hips. Something that yoga and stretching will fix. Here’s what this client has to say …

Rick,

The amount of knowledge/skill you have here is awesome.  It is possible the seat had slipped back.  I moved it up (for my notes now position D).

I’ll work on the adductors and I have been doing a hip opening yoga course online – I naturally have pretty tight hips/groin.  I’m going to try to focus a bit more on the stretching.

Now that I have the pedals, I would like to come down at some point to do the fit on my KHS road bike, which I really like.

I hope you had a good holiday.  Your help has been superb.  I do totally feel a difference across the metatarsals with the more even pressure.   I did not sense the uneven before, but then I’m a rookie and a bit clueless.  Once in better line, I now feel it.  I do notice the knee issue on my own without your analysis, so helpful to have that confirmed and to have a solution to work on.  Thanks much.
